Payment information
Card and wallet payments are handled by our payment processor, PayPal, including card and Google Pay payments. We do not see or store your full card number on our website.
Information collected automatically
When you browse our site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, general location (city and region), the pages you view, the products you look at and add to your cart, how you arrived at our site, and how you interact with pages, such as clicks and scrolling. We collect this using cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and analytics” below).
How we use your information
- To process, ship and support your orders, returns and special orders.
- To review and manage trade and hospitality accounts and pricing.
- To answer your questions and provide customer service.
- To send newsletters, offers and updates if you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how visitors use our site so we can improve products, pages and the shopping experience.
- To protect our site, our customers and our business from fraud, spam and security threats.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business, with:
- Service providers who work on our behalf, including our website host, payment processor (PayPal), shipping and delivery carriers, email and newsletter service (Constant Contact), security and spam-protection services, and the analytics and review services described below.
- Google: address suggestions at checkout use Google’s address-lookup service, which receives the address text you type.
- Our chat assistant provider: messages you type into the chat assistant are processed by an artificial-intelligence service (OpenAI) to generate replies. We may keep questions the assistant could not answer so we can improve it. Please don’t enter payment details or other sensitive information in the chat.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Mecox, our customers or others.
- Business transfers: if Mecox is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep your cart and login working, to remember preferences, and to measure how our site is used.
- Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors find and use our site, including which products are viewed, added to carts and purchased. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information such as pages visited and general location. We have also enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features (Google signals), which use information from users signed in to their Google accounts to provide aggregated reports on audience demographics and interests and to measure visits across devices. You can manage or turn off ad personalization in your Google Ads Settings. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your information by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with our pages, such as mouse movements, clicks and scrolling, to create heatmaps and session replays that help us find and fix problems on the site. Clarity is set to hide the text you type into forms. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the site, such as the shopping cart, may not work properly.
Do Not Track signals
Some browsers offer a Do Not Track (DNT) setting. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to these signals, our website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. Third-party services we use, such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, may collect information about your online activity over time and across different websites. You can limit this using the opt-out links above and your browser’s cookie settings.
Google Customer Reviews
After you place an order, you may see an optional invitation from Google Customer Reviews asking whether you would like to rate your experience. If you choose to take part, Google receives your email address, order number, delivery country and estimated delivery date so it can email you a short survey. Taking part is entirely optional, and nothing is sent to Google for the survey if you decline. Your participation is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
Your choices
- Email: you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email. We may still send messages about your orders or account.
- Your information: you may contact us with questions or requests about your personal information, and we will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to keep some information, such as order records, for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
- Cookies and analytics: see “Cookies and analytics” above.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect your information. Only staff who need information to do their jobs, such as fulfilling orders or customer service, can access it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our products and services, maintain business records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
Changes to this policy
