The Rise School of Houston is a pre-school for children with and without disabilities. Affiliated withTexas Children’s Hospital, students range from 6 months to 6 years with a goal that upon graduation from the program is their inclusion in mainstream kindergartens. Each classroom at Rise includes children with Down’s Syndrome and other developmental delays as well as their typically developing peers. All general fundraising goes to support scholarships so that no child is ever turned away from Rise because of his family’s financial situation.
